I'm Halle Bradford,
Owner of With Her KC LLC. I have been serving families as a birth doula since 2023 and am doula certified through Global Education of The Midwife.

I’m mom to my beautiful daughter, Penny, who was born peacefully at home, and wife to my wildly supportive husband, Pierce. I am a follower of Jesus and believe life begins at conception.
I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge of birth and bringing peace to new mothers and fathers in this tender season. I am always left in awe of women’s phenomenal strength to birth their babies when they are surrounded by love and feel safe to fully surrender. What a joy that I get to walk new parents through the experience of welcoming a new son or daughter.

I've supported many families in both hospital and home birth settings. I work to be a compassionate, peaceful, and strong advocate for natural, physiological labor and birth. I LOVE when Dad wants to be hands-on and I get to coach new fathers on how to love on their wives in meaningful ways through labor.
I am NRP certified and am deeply committed to helping families feel informed, calm, and confident as they welcome their babies into their arms.
My Birth Philosophy
Birth is a normal, powerful, and sacred process—not inherently a medical emergency.
When birth is supported with respect and trust in God's design, it can be a deeply transformative, joyful, and worshipful experience.

I believe labor goes best when a mother is surrounded by an intimate, compassionate care team and partner that honors her strength and protects her physical and emotional safety. When a woman feels undisturbed, supported, and loved, her body is free to do the work it was designed to do.

Every sensation in labor serves a purpose, helping the body work beautifully with itself. While epidurals and IV pain medications have their place and can occasionally be the best option, they are far too often used routinely rather than thoughtfully. When a mother feels truly safe, supported, and confident, she often finds that her body carries her through without needing those interventions. When pain meds are used carelessly, they are often harmful to a multitude of aspects surrounding birth, breastfeeding, bonding, physical healing, baby, and postpartum emotional adjustment.

I recognize that our bodies, though miraculously made, are not perfect. Home births should always be supported by a qualified midwife who can monitor safety and determine if medical care becomes necessary. Interventions have an important role when complications arise—but they should be used purposefully, not flippantly.

Labor reflects Christ’s sacrificial love that He showed for us on the cross. A breathtaking picture of endurance, surrender, and new life. Labor is an understood, very demanding task, done out of love for our children. Birth is both physically challenging, and profoundly beautiful, reminding us that our strength comes from and is because of His sustaining grace.

Birth grows us.
